Here is a quilt that is as spirited and lively as Sisters, Oregon on the second Saturday in July (the day of the annual Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show.) Scrappy fabric strips are sewn together, rotary cut using templates, and pieced with other fabrics to create a large and vibrant wall hanging. The curved piecing of the blocks and the careful placement of colors and values add motion and sparkle to the overall effect of the design.
The quilt was juried into the Pacific International Quilt Festival XIV, October, 2005, Santa Clara, California.
Machine pieced by Judy Johnson and machine quilted by Catherine Conkey.
