This collage quilt was created using raw edge appliqué and then embellished.  Catherine teaches this technique in a class entitled “The Art Quilt” where the student learns universal design principles used in art, such as how to create a focal point, unity, and the golden mean.  Then the focus shifts to play, as each student creates their own unique work of art!
